Flashpoint Education was founded on the idea that educational opportunity is typically at the center of personal and professional development.  It’s a simple enough concept and there probably aren’t too many people who would disagree.  But there’s a problem.  If you really believe you’re offering a service that brings goals within reach, one that can potentially help transform individual futures, then it’s a little tough to turn away clients based on their ability to pay.  Enter Flashpoint Gratis.

For qualified applicants who would like professional writing or editing services but can’t afford our help, we can occasionally offer reduced price or free personal statement consultation.  There are only a couple of requirements.  First, clients should have real and demonstrable financial need.  Documentation will be required so please don’t apply unless you have a genuine need and are comfortable sharing this information.  Second, Gratis applicants should have a compelling story.  Who’s a good candidate?  Maybe a high school student from an underprivileged background who would be the first in their family to attend college.  Maybe an exceptional college junior who’s spent their summers volunteering and is currently applying for a master’s in education.  There’s no set criterion.  Candidates are judged on a case by case basis and typical discounts range from 35-100%.  Low cost and free of charge service packages are made possible by staff who generously volunteer their time to help exceptional students.  As a result, Gratis services may not be continuously available.
