Amherst Supplement Essays

Along with Williams College, Amherst was once again ranked as the nation's top liberal arts college in U.S. News and World Report's 2009 college survey.  Nestled in western Massachusetts, Amherst has a reputation both as a beacon of academic excellence and as an especially well regarded feeder school for medical, law, and business programs.  As you might imagine, the competition is stiff; most applicants boast excellent GPAs and top SAT scores, but less than 18% are accepted.

Amherst's 2009-10 application supplement weighs in at a mind-blowing twenty-five pages and requires all applicants to submit a 250-500 word personal statement to go along with the one they wrote for the Common App.  In lieu of formal prompts, Amherst supplies five quotes, several of them inspired by or relating to Amherst events, and encourages students to respond originally and personally.  Amherst underscores the importance of the supplemental essay by reminding students that at a school where interviews are not an option essays "provide you with an opportunity to speak to us".  If this sounds a little daunting, don't panic just yet.  We're here to help.

Flashpoint enables students to work individually with a top writer or editor to conceptualize, draft, and revise a perfect response to Amherst's supplemental essay requirement.  Regardless of whether you're in need of a minor polish or you can't quite figure out where to start, we offer a package designed to meet your needs and help you gain admission to Amherst and other top universities.  We believe that we offer the best writing and editing services you will find anywhere.  In fact, we're so sure of it that we stand behind all of our work with a total satisfaction guarantee.  Your writer or editor will guide you step by step through the writing process and provide as many revisions as you feel are necessary.  We won't stop working until you tell us your statement is perfect.  At Flashpoint, we know the difference that self-expression can make and we pride ourselves in helping to create personal statements that change the way you are seen by admissions committees.
