I entered medical school later in life and coming from a non-traditional background I felt it was especially important to merge my personal and professional stories.  I felt pretty strongly that the essay would be a key portion of my residency application.  To be completely honest, my model residency statement is such a great piece of writing that I almost forget that the story is my own.  It reads like something out of a book and yet the story is all true and written in a way that really helps me make my case to residency directors.  This is an absolutely amazing service.  Wow!
