Waitlist Letters

Landing on the waitlist can feel like securing a place in your own private purgatory.  You’re not in, but you’re not quite out either.  Where you’ll end up is anybody’s guess, and it may not be decided for months to come.  Although the best way to handle a waitlist situation varies based on the program and your individual situation, this much is for sure: you need to do more than just wait.  Those with admissions experience typically urge applicants to respond to a waitlist letter with a letter of their own.  As a candidate in an especially competitive situation, it is your job to convince an admissions office that once a seat opens up you should be the one who gets the call.  The tough part is crafting a letter that makes a compelling case and that does so without coming across as pushy or disingenuous.

At Flashpoint, we do more than help you write a letter that will push you over the top.  We’ll connect you with an experienced writer who will work with you individually to formulate a larger application strategy that fits your situation and maximizes your chances of making it from the waitlist to orientation.  We’ll be there for you every step of the way, and we’ll never stop writing until you say so.
